The long‑awaited collab between The Diplomats and Vintage Frames Company is finally here. As part of the 25th‑anniversary celebration of Harlem’s most iconic rap collective, Vintage Frames Company has dropped a limited‑edition frame that isn’t just a pair of shades — it’s a wearable piece of hip‑hop history.

This release pays homage to early 2000s Harlem swagger: a glossy black oversized acetate frame, topped with The Diplomats’ signature eagle crest rendered in 24K gold on each temple. The styling calls back to a time when Dipset’s fashion — jerseys, statement chains, bold accessories — wasn’t just about looks, it was identity.

They unveiled the collab at an event hosted at ESSX on September 10, where rap heavyweights from The Diplomats — Jim Jones and Juelz Santana — made an appearance, turning the launch into a cultural moment bridging music, fashion and legacy.

Once the hype dropped, the eyewear went online for the world to cop — priced at USD $250 (about R4 800–R5 000 depending on exchange rate).

Why This Collab Hits Different

This isn’t just about a flashy accessory — it’s about carrying heritage. For many, The Diplomats were more than a rap squad: they were culture‑shapers who changed the game in music and style. With these frames, that legacy gets a new form. The glasses aren’t just functional — they’re symbolic. They let you wear the boldness, swagger, and confidence that the Harlem crew pioneered.

Vintage Frames Company’s craftsmanship and attention to detail — premium acetate, glossy finish, and the 24K‑gold eagle — give the piece that collector appeal. It’s not just streetwear; it’s a statement of loyalty to the culture.

It’s a reminder that style isn’t just what you wear — it’s where you come from, what you represent, and the path you rep.
