South African amapiano stars Zee Nxumalo and Young Stunna were officially introduced as the newest ambassadors for the Speedcat in a high-energy reveal at the brand’s “Speedcat Fitstop” event in Johannesburg.
The night — held in Braamfontein, often dubbed the spiritual home of PUMA South Africa — was more than a launch: it was a full immersion. Guests were treated to live performances from Zee, Stunna and fellow artist Maglera Doe Boy, racing-inspired activations, sneaker-customisation zones, and a nostalgia-heavy showcase of Speedcat heritage.

With this move, PUMA is linking the Speedcat’s motorsport-born roots with the current wave of South African street culture. Zee and Stunna don the new Speedcat OG — Zee in classic Black, Young Stunna in fiery Red — and become faces of a campaign that blends style, music, and movement.
“Zee and Stunna are the perfect match for the Speedcat campaign,” said PUMA Marketing Director Brett Bellinger. “They join global icons like Dua Lipa and Rosé — redefining the Speedcat for a new generation.”

For 2024, the Speedcat — celebrating its 25-year legacy — resurfaces not just as footwear, but as a cultural symbol. With Zee and Young Stunna behind the wheel, it’s being redriven into the world of amapiano, streetwear, and everything that’s next.
Expect to see the Speedcat OG in Black, Red and the new “Pink Blush” colourway — available at PUMA retail stores, Sportscene, Shesha, and online.
