Milk + Cookies Music Week returns 24 December 2025 – 14 January 2026, bringing a 21-day celebration of music, creativity, and South African culture. After a record-breaking 2025 debut headlined by Kaytranada, the festival is back with multi-platinum hip-hop superstar Gunna taking the stage, joined by South African icons DJ Kent and Vigro Deep, with more acts to be announced.

Gunna will light up Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town on 3 January 2026 and Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on 10 January 2026, performing hits like “Drip Too Hard” and “Push Up”. DJ Kent and Vigro Deep will bring local flavor to the global stage, fusing hip-hop, amapiano, and house rhythms, showing how South Africa continues to shape international music.

Founded by four Morehouse College alumni in Atlanta, Milk + Cookies has grown from curating shows for artists like Kendrick Lamar and Summer Walker to a global creative powerhouse. The festival isn’t just about music — it’s about empowering South African creatives through writing camps, panels, merch pop-ups, and community givebacks, creating opportunities across the country’s creative ecosystem.

“We’re coming back to South Africa because its culture sets the pace for the world,” says Chase Freeman, Head of Marketing at Milk + Cookies. “With Gunna, DJ Kent, and Vigro Deep, we’re highlighting local talent and showing the world the power of SA’s creative scene.”

The festival promises more local and international acts and exclusive programming updates, so stay locked to Milk + Cookies’ social channels for the latest drops.
