Lil Wayne Drops Tha Carter VI

Five-time GRAMMY® winner and multiplatinum rap legend Lil Wayne has officially released his long-awaited 14th studio album, Tha Carter VI, via Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records. The 19-track album features production from heavyweights like Lil WayneLin-Manuel MirandaWyclef Jean, and more.

After six years of writing and perfecting this next chapter, Wayne delivers a record stacked with collaborations from Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Wyclef Jean, Kodak Black, and even his sons Kameron Carter and Lil Novi.

On the album, Wayne reflects:

“Real art can’t be rushed — y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine. Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. This album is for the ones who’ve been riding with me through all Tha Carters. We takin’ it further than ever before. Tunechi back. C6 is here. I’m just bein’ myself. Sorry for the wait.”

The first taste of the album hit fans during Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunderand Indiana Pacers, where the track “The Days” feat. Bono premiered in marketing and broadcast promotions.

To celebrate the drop, Wayne will headline his first-ever MSG show tonight, June 6, giving fans an exclusive first listen to Tha Carter VI.

Following the album release, Lil Wayne kicks off a special North American ‘Tha Carter VI’ tour, celebrating 20+ years of his iconic series. Special guests Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington will join all dates, with NoCap appearing on select shows. Tickets are live now at LiveNation.com.
